O’Fallon’s “Haunted Park Hunt” is Popular with Couples (10-22)

Couples are invited to sign up for O’Fallon’s frightfully exciting “Haunted Park Hunt,” a Friday night scavenger hunt for adults (ages 21+). The event will be held from 7 – 10 p.m. on October 22 in Dames Park, which has a reputation as O’Fallon’s most haunted park. Two-person teams will compete for points by deciphering clues.

There’s no need to rent or bring a bowling ball to play in the Wii Bowling League at the Spirit Center (RSC) in O’Fallon, Missouri. Just sign up to play! In Wii Bowling, players hold a remote instead of a bowling ball and direct the actions of a bowler on a video screen.

City of O’Fallon Recognized for Supporting Monarch Migration

Just in time to heighten the appreciation of migrating monarch butterflies, garden areas in two City of O’Fallon parks were recently designated as Monarch Waystations. They are:

The grounds outside the Renaud Spirit Center, O’Fallon’s indoor recreation complex, which have been certified as Waystation 04024 for the large entrance garden and a rain garden with native plants, and natural areas in the park.

Summer Theatre Camp Variety Show Highlights Kids’ Talents - July 24

Tickets at $5 each are available for O’Fallon’s Summer Theatre Camp Variety Show matinee, which will be performed on the stage at the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366 on Saturday, July 24. The curtain will go up at 2 p.m. Cookies and punch will be available after the show. Tickets may be purchased in advance, or at the box office just before the show.

City of O’Fallon’s New Rx Discount Card

  The City of O’Fallon today launched a program designed to provide residents with some relief from the high cost of prescription drugs. The City is making free prescription drug discount cards available to residents through a program sponsored by the National League of Cities (NLC), and administered by CVS Caremark. The discount card offers average savings of up to 20 percent off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs. The program is free to the City, and free to residents.

O’Fallon Farmers’ and Artists’ Market Seeking Vendors

  Local farmers, gardeners, artists and artisans are invited to attend the O’Fallon Farmers’ and Artists’ Market 2010 Vendor Meeting Party, which will be held from 8 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, at the Missouri University Extension Center, 260 Brown Road, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. The meeting will cover booth prices, vendor placement, applications, promotion schedule, special events and more. Refreshments will be provided.

Youngsters Can Ring in 2010 with a Night of Fun at O’Fallon’s New Year’s Eve Lock-In

Kids ages 5 through 12 can enjoy a safe New Year’s Eve party at O’Fallon’s 4th annual New Year’s Eve Lock-In. The Lock-In will begin at 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, at the Spirit Center (RSC) indoor recreation complex, 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon Missouri 63368. Concessions will be available throughout the evening.
