Statewide Tornado Drill Planned

With tornado season at hand, O’Fallon residents are invited to do two things to prepare themselves and their families: first, spend a few minutes watching brief videos showing how to safely take shelter from tornados in a school, house or mobile home. Second, join a statewide tornado drill on Tuesday, March 13, at 1:30 p.m. The new videos, which were released by Missouri’s Emergency Management Agency, are available for viewing at www.mo.gov .

Get Tickets for Production of Annie, Jr., The Musical

Tickets for the O’FallonTheatreWorks’ (OTW) spring production of the musical, Annie Jr., will be available starting Monday, March 19. The musical will be performed on the stage at O’Fallon’s Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon Missouri 63366, and concessions will be available. Evening performances will begin at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, April 20 and 21, and April 27 and 28. Matinee performances will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22 and April 29.

New Oak Leaf Artist Guild Exhibit

“Treasures of Oak Leaf,” an exhibit of original oils, acrylics and watercolor paintings by 23 Oak Leaf Artist Guild members, will be displayed through Friday, April 6, at O’Fallon’s Cultural Arts Center Gallery in the Renaud Spirit Center (RSC) recreation complex, 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon, Missouri 63368. Gallery admission is free, and the artwork can be viewed at the following times:

O’Fallon’s Free Garden Expo

Get a head start on a great garden this spring by talking to gardening experts and shopping for live plants and lawn and garden accessories at the Garden Expo, which will be held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, in Fort Zumwalt Park, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Admission and parking are free, and concessions will be available.

16th Annual Art, Wine & Brew Gala

Tickets are almost sold out for the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce’s 16th Annual Art, Wine & Brew Gala, sponsored by Krey Distributing Co., on Saturday, February 18, 2012. The event will take place at the O’Fallon City Hall, 100 North Main Street in O’Fallon.

City of O’Fallon’s Presidents’ Day Schedule

In observance of Presidents’ Day on Monday, February 20, the O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall) will be closed. City Hall is located at 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.

In addition:

•    O’Fallon’s Parks and Recreation Administrative offices, 400 Civic Park Drive, also will be closed.

Free Large-Item Drop-Off for O’Fallon Residents

O’Fallon residents are invited to take advantage of the City’s free quarterly drop-off service for many items that are too large to fit into curbside trash containers. Acceptable items can be brought to O’Fallon’s waste transfer station from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. on Saturday, February 18. The transfer station address is 1572 Progress West Lane, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366.
