Join O’Fallon’s Police Explorer Post

Young men and women (ages 14 - 20) who are interested in “Exploring” a career in law enforcement are invited to attend an informational meeting of O’Fallon Police Explorer Post 2943 at 6:30pm on Monday, May 14th, in the Multi Purpose Room at O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Candidates must be entering high school (9th grade) in the 2012-2013 school year. A video and a presentation about some aspects of the program will be shown.

Trash Problems at O’Fallon’s Recycling Bins

Illegal dumping of trash in and around O’Fallon’s blue, industrial-sized recycling containers is causing concern about the program, which makes recycling accessible to the public free of charge. One bin is stationed in the west parking lot at T.R. Hughes Ballpark, and the other is located in Monticello Plaza in the 3700 block of Highway K.

O’Fallon’s Utility/Phone Tax Rebates Continues

Filing for O’Fallon’s utility and phone tax rebates continues through May 31 for seniors ages 65+ and completely disabled residents


O’Fallon residents who meet income guidelines and who are age 65 or older, and residents who have been determined by the Social Security Administration to be completely disabled still have time to file for the City’s utility tax rebates on taxes paid on gas, electricity and home phone and cell phone service in 2011.

The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 28th Annual USATF Certified Firecracker Run on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in O’Fallon, MO. The Firecracker Run offers something for everyone! The Race begins at 7:00 am and consists of a 10K, 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Awards will be given to the overall winner for male and female racers of the 5K and 10K. There will also be awards given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers (male and female) of each class in the 5K and 10K.

O’Fallon’s “Sing the National Anthem” Contest

Oh, say can you sing?

If you or a group of friends would like a chance to open the game at T.R. Hughes Ballpark by singing “The Star Spangled Banner,” you’re invited to enter the “Sing the National Anthem YouTube Contest.” Contest winners will sing at the RSC 5K race on Saturday, May 5, and also before the game at T.R. Hughes Ballpark on Sunday, May 20.

2012 Heritage & Freedom Fest Update

O’Fallon, Missouri’s 32nd Annual Heritage & Freedom Fest is bringing big-name entertainment to St. Charles County.

Enter O’Fallon’s Independence Day Parade

Clubs, civic organizations, bands, churches, scouts, businesses and others are invited to get creative and join the competition for trophies and prizes in O’Fallon’s annual Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4, in downtown O’Fallon. This year’s theme is “Salute Our American Heritage.” The “Mayor’s Choice” award and “Best Overall” category will be judged on how well an entry expresses the parade theme, with prizes of $500, $400 and $300 awarded to the top three Best Overall.

Volunteers - Spring Break Projects in O’Fallon

Students, faculty, and families staying in town over spring break are invited to register for spring projects that will help prepare City parks for this year’s seasonal activities, athletic events, and thousands of park visitors.

“With flowers blooming and trees budding in the parks, this is a great time for individuals to get outside and have an impact on their community,” said Kathy Halstead, Manager of O’Fallon’s Volunteer Services Department.
