Parents and Children, Celebrate Thanksgiving with a Music for Me Class

Thanksgiving is on its way, so what better way to celebrate the season than through song and dance with your child. Instructor Laurie Strickland will teach a fun Music for Me class, Turkey in the Straw, at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center for children ages 18 months-5 years and their parents.

Learn to Create an Autumn Still Life in Watercolors at St. Peters’ Community & Arts Center (10-25)

Artists of all skill levels can learn how to create a still life of flowers at the St. Peters Community & Arts Center. Artist and instructor Shirley Nachtrieb will teach an instructive two-day workshop, Autumn Still Life in Watercolors, on Oct. 29 and 30 from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Family Locator Services Program Initiated in St. Peters to Assist Residents with Dementia

  St. Peters, Missouri City officials developed a program to assist residents with Alzheimer’s and other dementia related illnesses. The program, St. Peters Family Locator Service, aims to further protect the safety of St. Peters’ residents with dementia.

St. Peters Reminds Residents to Ask for City-Issued Credentials from Solicitors

This time of year we often hear of scam artists going door-to-door to sell products or services that may not exist. Although many solicitors are from legitimate organizations or businesses, some are not. The City of St. Peters reminds residents that if anyone comes to your door trying to sell you something or to take orders for future delivery, to make sure the person has a current City of St. Peters Peddlers/Solicitors license.

St. Peters Recycle City Now Accepting Used Eyeglasses for Lions Club

So, you purchased new eyeglasses. What will you do with your old eyeglasses? Why not recycle them?

The St. Peters’ Lions Club recently placed a drop box for eyeglasses at
St. Peters’ Recycle City, 131 Ecology Drive. Just place your old glasses into a protective case or bag and drop them in the box. The glasses that no longer work for you will soon be processed and sent off to help someone in need.
