St. Peters Announces Labor Day Hours

St. Peters City Hall and the Cultural Arts Centre will be closed on Labor Day, Sept. 3, 2012.
The Rec-Plex administrative offices and registration desk will be closed. However, ice skating and swimming will be open to the public from 1-5 p.m.
The Earth Centre composting center will be closed Sunday and Monday, Sept. 2-3.

Be sure to save the dates and come out to Celebrate St. Peters 2012 for plenty of music, rides, games, food and fun at the lake on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 14-15.

St. Peters Non Profit Fundraising Opportunity

What’s more fun than going to a carnival and winning a prize for your significant other, a child or even yourself? And wouldn’t it be even better knowing that the money you’re spending is going to a good cause?

The City of St. Peters’ annual Celebrate St. Peters event is schedule to take place on Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15. New this year, local non-profit groups are invited to apply to run the game booths.

Volunteers Needed for Roller Hockey Championships

The St. Peters Rec-Plex is welcoming the largest State Wars event ever in a couple of weeks, and St. Peters is looking for volunteers who can help us make it the BEST State Wars ever.
State Wars 8 will host the United States Roller Hockey Championships at the Rec-Plex from Aug. 1-12, 2012. State Wars organizers report that 280 teams representing 30 states and Canadian provinces will compete, bringing 2,700 players and 10,000 family members to St. Peters.

Spaces Still Available for Bella Arts Festival

Calling all painters, photographers, sculptors, woodworkers and other artists. Spaces are still available for the Bella Arts Fest in St. Peters to be held at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre and City Centre Park on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

St Peters Hosts Art Show

Artists have looked past the paintbrush and onto other tools such as a palette knife, their fingers, etc. Be sure to stop by the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre from June 8 – August 13 to check out the artwork they’ve created using these different art tools. The exhibit is open to all and free to the public to come and enjoy.

Rec-Plex Shifting to Summer Hours

The hours of operation for various St. Peters Rec-Plex facilities will change for summer beginning on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. These hours will be in effect until Aug. 12.
Here is a list of normal Rec-Plex summer hours from May 29-Aug. 12, 2012:
•    Leisure Pool recreational swimming: Monday-Thursday, noon-4:15 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m.; Friday, noon-9 p.m.; Saturday, noon-7 p.m.; Sunday, noon-6 p.m.
