St. Peters Pools Open Memorial Day Weekend

It’s time to dive and make a splash into St. Peters outdoor pools! St. Peters outdoor pools at Laurel Park, Golf & Recreation Center, and Nob Hill will open on Saturday, May 26, 2012. The pools are scheduled to be open from noon – 7 p.m. over Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28.

St. Peters outdoor pools will remain open this summer through Labor Day, Sept. 3. Daily admission and pool passes are available for both St. Peters residents and non-residents.

Learn to Play Hockey for FREE at St. Peters Rec-Plex

Children ages 4-8 have a chance to learn ice hockey for FREE at the St. Peters Rec-Plex. Missouri Hockey Inc. is bringing its “Learn to Play Ice Hockey” program to the Rec-Plex with a series of fun instructional classes beginning the evening of Monday, June 4, 2012.

A luau is the perfect way to bring in the summer season, and there’s a fun luau waiting for kids at the St. Peters Rec-Plex Summer Activities Camps beginning May 21, 2012.

St. Peters Offers Arts & Rec-Plex Summer Camps

Summer is just around the corner—don’t forget to sign your kids up for summer camp!

The City of St. Peters offers a summer camp for every kid, whether artistic, athletic, crafty or adventurous. Choose from weekly Art Experience Camps at the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre to Activities Camps and Sports Camps at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.

St. Peters Providing Special Storm Debris Pickup

As a courtesy to St. Peters residents who suffered tree and limb damage from this weekend’s storms, the City of St. Peters’ Solid Waste Department is accepting calls for special yard waste storm debris collection. This collection is for storm tree and limb damage and does not include grass.

“Beyond the Brush” Art Show and Competition

The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre is looking “Beyond the Brush” from June 8 – Aug. 13.  The art show and competition encourages artists to look past the classic paint brush and onto other tools such as palette knives, fingers, etc. to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind works.  Paintbrushes are allowed, however, other tools must also be incorporated into the piece.

Beethoven “Picture the Music 2012” at St. Peters

Beethoven Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67. Is it a picture in red...or black...or blue...or many colors? That is what students from throughout the region were asked to figure out. The answers can be found at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre April 19-28.

St. Peters Cultural Arts Hosts ‘Flower Power’

Be sure to stop by the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre from April 7 – June 4 to check out the springtime artwork depicting flowers or a garden. This exhibit is open to all and free to the public to come and enjoy.

An opening reception will take place Saturday, April 7, from 1-3 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.
