Printer-friendly version

Saint Charles Riverfront Arts (SCRA) announces that the not-for-profit organization will be hosting the Spring 2013 series of “Adult Artists Workshop” (for people 18 years and older) and “Young Artists Workshop” classes (for middle and high school students).

Professional instruction in drawing and watercolor painting, along with all artists materials, will be provided free of charge courtesy of SCRA, a not-for-profit arts organization. Each of the “Artists Workshop” series will feature occasional technique demonstrations by professional “working” artists:

Young Artists Workshop Professional artists will help conduct the “Young Artists Workshop” program, guiding participants in drawing and watercolor painting through small groups of middle and high school students, based on interest and ability levels in a welcoming environment. Class size will be limited to the first 60 applicants.

The six-week “Young Artists Workshop” classes will be held at the Main Street Chapel
(116 N. Main Street in Historic St. Charles) on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 8:30 pm, beginning March 19th and concluding on April 23rd.

Adult Artists WorkshopThe upcoming “Adult Artists Workshop” series is a continuation of this highly acclaimed program, which has included art novices all the way up to professional artists. Class size will be limited to the first 60 applicants.

The six-week “Adult Artists Workshop” classes will be held at St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre, located at 1 St. Peters Centre Boulevard (at St. Peters City Hall) on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 until 8:30 pm, beginning March 20th and concluding on April 24th.

These special six-week arts programs are FREE to the public, but the not-for-profit Saint
Charles Riverfront Arts organization will gladly accept tax-deductible donations from individuals, companies and other organizations to ensure the availability of future arts education programs for the St. Charles community. To register for either course, please
