ST. CHARLES FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD PUTS LOCAL SPINON ABC’s POPULAR EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION PROGRAM

WHO:                           Dozens of volunteers from St. Charles First Assembly of God and local families in need.

 

WHAT:                         Fourth Annual Home Makeover Project, completing free home repairs for four local families and the Bridgeway Counseling Center.

 

WHEN &:                    Saturday, March 19 starting at 8:00 a.m.

WHERE:                       Volunteers to meet at St. Charles First Assembly of God, located at 4750 North Service Road in St. Peters, Mo., for job assignments. Work begins at respective homes at approximately 8:30 a.m.; end time varies according to job needs.

 

House #1 – 1611 Claydell Dr., St. Peters, MO  63376

(Replace linoleum with tile floor in bathroom, replace gasket on the toilet, garbage disposal and bathroom door; install new vanity, sink, and counter; and hang curtain rods)

House #2 – 758 Poplar Dr., St. Charles MO  63304

(Take down the stump & tree over the driveway; clean yard, rake, plant grass and haul yard waste; replace bathtub stopper, kitchen faucet and bedroom door; paint ceiling tiles; and repair furnace)

House #3 – 11 Bluegrass Ln., St. Peters, MO  63376

(Repair gutter and replace fascia; re-glaze front window; sewer replacement; and replace closet doors)

House #4 – 401 Rebecca Dr., St. Charles, MO  63301

(Install backsplash in kitchen; paint trim and doors)

House #5 Bridgeway Counseling Center – 125 N 5th St., St. Charles, MO  63301

(Hang drywall & shower surround in women’s mop closet; hang drywall in women’s building and Trio building; paint entire men’s residence; install cabinets in the children’s residence; recover seats of 36 group room chairs in women’s building; and paint 11 women’s bedrooms and the kitchen)

 

SIGNIFICANCE:         St. Charles First Assembly of God is reaching outside its four walls to offer assistance through its fourth annual Home Makeover Project. Volunteer work crews from the church will lend their time and talents to complete plumbing, tile installation, painting, cleaning, landscaping and other jobs as part of this one-day service event.  Recipients of the Home Makeover Project were chosen following a detailed application and interview process.  All work done in conjunction with the Home Makeover Project is completed FREE OF CHARGE. This effort is just one of the many ways the church works to puts its beliefs into action in order to make a positive impact on its community.
