THE CITY OF WENTZVILLE JULY 4TH PARADE, GRAND MARSHALL ANNOUNCED

It is a privilege to have Charles Skillman as the 2014 July 4th Parade, Grand Marshall.  Charlie has been a resident of the City of Wentzville for more than 40 years.  He is an Army Veteran and an active member of the American Legion Post 323.

Charlie served as captain of the Wentzville Volunteer Fire Department, served on the Wentzville Park Board, was an assistant leader in Boy Scout Troop 853 and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville.  He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 39 years and now has time to spend with his wife, Vi, his three children and four grandchildren. 

Join us during our Star Spangled Salute!  The parade will begin at 10 am on Campus Dr. and will travel east on Pearce Blvd to Luetkenhaus Blvd.  There will be a free swim at Progress Park Pool from 12-7pm, followed by free inflatables from 5-8:45pm, a musical performance from Dr. Zhivegas from 6-9pm and Fireworks at 9:05pm. Concessions will be available for purchase at reasonable prices, so plan on spending the day at Progress Park.  For more information, please call 636-332-9236.
